SRX2188783: RNA-Seq of mixotrophic of mixotrophic protists Micromonas and Pyramimonas
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina MiSeq) run: 51.3M spots, 10.4G bases, 3.7Gb downloads

Design: Pyramimonas culture was grown under nutrient limiting conditions which favor mixotrophy Cells were harvested by filtration onto 0.4 micron pore size polycarbonate membrane and lysed using the Qiagen RNeasy Mini Kit. DNA was removed by DNase treatment on the purification column. Total RNA quality was checked by Bioanalyzer and sent to Sulzberger Columbia Genome Center for library preparation and RNA-Seq. mRNA was collected by poly-A pulldown, then reverse transcribed into cDNA. The material was fragmented and then adapter/primers added and finally sequenced.
